High Point Furniture Industries was founded in 1958 and remains a privately held, woman-owned business. The first products were novelty furniture items for the home (TV stands, record cabinets). High Point Furniture entered the office furniture market in 1963 with the introduction of the first budget-priced 100 Series wood desk. Up to that point, low-cost desks were made primarily of metal while wood desks were significantly more expensive solid wood components.

HPFi is focused on 4 primary vertical markets – contract, education, healthcare and government. These markets are heavily influenced by the architect and design community, particularly in HPFi’s middle to upper-end of the industry segment. However, there is still a large portion of business conducted with traditional office products and catalog-driven small dealerships.
HPFi® offers the NOW Accelerated Response program for expediting orders when time is short on a project. This program, a consolidation of the former QS and NOW programs, features a lead time of seven (7) to ten (10) business days.
HPFi can customize virtually all of our products. We offer the option of COM (customers own material) including leathers on our seating products.
HPFi is committed to providing environmentally-conscious product solutions. All certified products are certified to level 2 by SCS Global Services using level®, BIFMA‘s e3 Furniture Sustainability Standard. This standard is used to identify and certify the levels of environmental achievement as well as identify specific contributions of LEED points.
