Who We Are

Background

High Point Furniture Industries (HPFi®) is an American manufacturer that responds and adapts to an ever-changing market to efficiently build commercial grade products with speed, accuracy and value. High Point Furniture was founded in 1958 and remains a privately held, family-owned business. The first products were novelty furniture items for the home (TV stands, record cabinets). High Point Furniture entered the office furniture market in 1963 with the introduction of the first budget-priced 100 Series wood desk. Up to that point, low-cost desks were made primarily of metal while wood desks were produced using significantly more expensive solid wood components.

Products

HPFi markets laminate casegoods, lounge seating, office and executive swivel seating, collaborative tables and seating, guest/ganging seating and healthcare specific products. All are made in manufacturing facilities in High Point, NC, USA. Standard lead times for all casegoods and seating products are normally 6 weeks or less.

Products include fully upholstered lounge seating, executive office seating, guest and lobby seating, healthcare seating; healthcare recliners and physician stools; ergonomic/task chairs; laminate casegoods. The product categories present a wide range of traditional, transitional and contemporary selections. Most recent product introductions have primarily been more contemporary in style and focused on collaborative meeting and workspaces.

Markets

HPFi is focused on 4 primary vertical markets – office, education, healthcare and government. These markets are primarily influenced by the architect and design community, particularly in mid-market segment of the office furniture industry. However, there is still a large portion of business conducted with traditional office product dealerships and catalog-driven resellers.

Adaptability

HPFi does not offer a “standard” fabric selection but partners with several distributors to offer most of their offerings. HPFi also offer the option of COM (customers own material) including leathers on our seating products.

For more than 60 years, HPFi has been building furniture in the United States with respect to our environment and our community. As a world-class manufacturing operation, we strive to reduce and to eliminate impact on our environment.

Government Sales

The complete HPFi product portfolio is on a federal government GSA schedule. Any reseller to the federal government may participate in this contract held by High Point Furniture Industries. HPFi also holds contracts in several individual states allowing state agencies to purchase products either directly from HPFi or through authorized dealer partners and multiple TIPS contracts used by municipalities and higher education.

Space Planning Services

All products offered by HPFi are included in the Cyncly 2020 library. Anyone who utilizes the Cyncly software programs (CAP Studio, CAP Complete, Giza) can generate office layouts from our library. Dealers who do not utilize Cyncly’s software may draw upon the resources of the in-house HPFi space planning team. The HPFi library is also available in Configura (CIL, CET, Spec) and KITS Collaborator.
